PSP's Project and Training Manager, Lee Lesser recently co-authored the article, "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Families: Tools for directors in supporting staff discussion dealing with fears," with Tracy Burt, Child Development and Family Studies Faculty at City College of San Francisco. PSP offered three Parent Leadership Institutes during the 2007-2008 school year in Kansas City, MO; Atlanta, GA; and Fairfield, CA. Through these intensive training sessions, approximately 95 emerging parent leaders have furthered their skills and acquired the tools to be more effective advocates for their children's education.


On the morning of April 2, 2009 early childhood classrooms all over Marin will take part in PSP’s Wee Read event, kicking o ff the Month of the Young Child. The event underscores the importance of early literacy by holding simultaneous story times, with special guest readers, at participating sites.
